Scarborough Bluffs Music Program has become part of Springboard to Music, an unaffiliated community music program for children ages 5-13 living in the Kingston-Galloway and Scarborough Village areas of Toronto. Classes are taught by qualified and experienced music teachers from the community. Springboard to Music is currently offering private lessons in piano and guitar, as well as group classes for voice, keyboard, hand drumming and music and movement on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 4:00 – 8:00 PM.
Scarborough Harmony Chorus is a chapter of Harmony Inc, and has been singing in Scarborough and the GTA since 1956. We sing a cappella singing in traditional barbershop style and other 4-part harmony arrangements in women’s voicing. Rehearsals every Wednesday evening from 7:00pm – 9:30pm in the Red Room (basement). Strong focus on music education, community performances, and fun. Must be 16 or older, all welcome to audition.

We are delighted to welcome you to a full season of Joyful choral singing. This season promises to have something for everyone! The repertoire is based on the theme of the change and emotions that we’ve undergone over these past 3 years with COVID. It is about Community, Country, Nature, War and Renewal as well as a tribute to Sondheim, the great Composer and Lyricists. We have been entertaining our audiences for over 45 years and are thrilled to have continued through the dark days of COVID via Zoom, where we deepened bonds and friendships with our fellow choristers. We returned to singing together in September at the beautiful Scarborough Bluffs United Church, 3739 Kingston Road, under the direction of our artistic director, Michael Morgan and collaborative pianists, Stan Farrow and Matthew Coons. Under the tutelage of Music Director, Michael Morgan and Collaborative Pianist, Matthew Coons, Bel Canto Singers presents two major concerts per year, in May and December. For 30 years we have entertained audiences with a varied repertoire, ranging from classical to contemporary, opera choruses to folk songs, and Broadway show tunes to spirituals. When Bel Canto was founded in 1993, the founding members envisaged a community choir that would provide fun and fellowship as well as excellence in singing for experienced and committed choristers. We continue in that tradition today.
